((OOC: Les dejo un fragmento del headcanon de Cydalima, quien se ocupó de crear a Azteca.
"Los primeros años de su vida los pasaron en zonas totalmente opuestas. A veces pienso que a Pedro lo criaron los nómadas chichimecas del norte, mientras que Itzel vivió en una zona de influencia maya, en donde convivió con Belice y Guatemala, principalmente. Cuando comienzan a vivir con Azteca (me referiré a él como Cuauhtzin de ahora en adelante), se les enseñan las reglas y cosmovisión mexica.
Tengo el headcanon de que el nombre que Cuauhtzin le dio a Pedro en ese entonces fue Coatzin, que significa “pequeña serpiente”. Itzel es un nombre de origen maya que significa “lucero de la tarde”, además Ixchel es la diosa maya del amor y la fertilidad; Cuauhtzin decidió respetar el nombre por respeto a la vieja Maya, aunque adaptado a una manera más náhuatl. También le llamaba Citlallin, que significa “estrella”.

A: Although Coatzin and Itzel were born in different places, they were fated to meet each other, because they’re their other half. That is what make them inseparables.

When they start living with Azteca (Cuauhtzin), they were taught the rules of Mexica’s worldview.
I have the headcanon that the name Cuauhtzin gave to Peter was Coatzin, meaning “little snake”. Itzel is a Mayan name that means “evening star”; in addition, Ixchel is the Mayan goddess of love and fertility; Cuauhtzin decided to respect the name for old Maya, adapted it in a Nahuatl way. Also, he called her Citlallin, meaning “star.”
